Since early 2025, our team has successfully recorded sucking patterns from over 500 infants at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) using the NeuroLacto SRF device. This large-scale, real-world clinical dataset was captured directly in the NICU and maternity wards. The dataset continues to validate the AI model’s accuracy in assessing feeding maturity and linking early sucking behavior to neurodevelopmental outcomes from the very first day of life. The ongoing study strengthens our evidence base and supports broader adoption in neonatal care.
We envision a future where every newborn benefits from objective, day-one screening of feeding patterns as a powerful biomarker for brain development. By combining portable, user-friendly hardware with advanced AI analysis, NeuroLacto aims to enable earlier detection of risks, personalized interventions, and improved long-term outcomes. It transforms reactive neonatal care into proactive, data-driven support for infants and families worldwide.
